A bit about us
We're The Moss Man, a proper Lincolnshire business that's built its reputation the old-fashioned way. Word of mouth, hard graft, and doing right by our customers. We clean driveways and roofs across the county using dry methods and hand scraping - no pressure washers, no cutting corners. We do it properly or we don't do it at all.
We're a small family team and we like it that way. Every person we take on matters to us, and we look after the ones who look after our customers.
So what does the job actually involve?
You'll be out across Lincolnshire each day, working independently and getting on with it. That means:
- Cleaning driveways with mechanical wire brushes and specialist chemicals
- Hand-scraping moss and debris off roofs without damaging the tiles
- Revisiting regular customers to keep their driveways and roofs in top condition
- Looking after our equipment properly
- Representing The Moss Man well with every customer you meet, a friendly face and a professional manner go a long way
What we need from you
We're not hung up on qualifications, but we do need someone who's already got some experience under their belt - whether that's previous cleaning work, landscaping, labouring, or any other hands-on outdoor role. You'll know what a proper day's work looks like, and you won't need telling twice.
Beyond that, we need someone who:
- Shows up on time, every time, reliability is everything in this job
- Can work alone and manage their own day without needing hand-holding
- Takes genuine pride in the quality of their work
- Is physically fit and comfortable working outdoors whatever the weather
- Holds a full UK driving licence
We'll train you on our specific methods and equipment. but the work ethic and the experience need to already be there.
