Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong driving record, and the ability to handle heavy lifting as needed. As a Delivery Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction by delivering products in a timely manner.

Duties

Safely operate delivery vehicles, including vans and lorries, to transport goods to designated locations.
Load and unload products, ensuring that items are secured and protected during transit.
Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and reliability.
Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation as required.
Assist with warehouse duties when not on deliveries, including inventory management and organisation of stock.

Experience

Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.
A valid driving licence is essential; a Commercial Driving Licence is advantageous.
Familiarity with local roads and routes is beneficial for efficient navigation.
Experience with heavy lifting and handling of goods in a warehouse setting is desirable.
Strong communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with customers and team members.
