Salary: £29,000 – £33,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
We are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic, and hands-on Pool Manager to oversee the safe and efficient operation of our outdoor heated swimming pool while providing excellent customer service to our guests.
This is a varied role that changes with the seasons. During the pool season, your primary responsibility will be managing the outdoor heated swimming pool and ensuring it is maintained to the highest standards. Between November and March, when the pool is closed or operating at reduced capacity, you will assist the park's maintenance team with a range of general maintenance duties.
Key Responsibilities During the Pool Season
- Manage the daily operation of the outdoor heated swimming pool.
- Prepare and manage staff rotas to ensure adequate cover and the efficient running of the pool.
- Supervise and support pool staff, ensuring high standards of performance and customer service.
- Monitor and maintain water quality in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Carry out routine pool plant checks and basic maintenance.
- Ensure the pool area is clean, safe, clean, and welcoming for guests.
- Complete required records and compliance documentation.
- Respond promptly to any pool-related issues or emergencies.
- Deliver excellent customer service to park guests.
November – March
- Assist with general park maintenance and repairs.
- Help prepare facilities for the upcoming holiday season.
- Support the maintenance team with planned preventative maintenance and general site upkeep.
About You
- Experience in pool operations or pool plant management is desirable (training can be provided for the right candidate).
- Experience supervising staff and preparing work rotas.
- A recognised Pool Plant Operator qualification is advantageous.
- Practical maintenance or handyman skills are highly desirable.
- Good understanding of health and safety practices.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Friendly, approachable, and committed to delivering excellent customer service.
- Flexible and willing to undertake a variety of tasks throughout the year.
