We are currently recruiting for a Trainee Commercial Finance Broker to join our already successful and established financial services practice. We offer a broad range of business and financial services from traditional accountancy to bespoke business advice, specialist taxation services and corporate advice.
As a Trainee Commercial Finance Broker, you will support the Commercial Finance team in delivering funding solutions to businesses across a range of commercial finance products, including asset finance, invoice finance, commercial loans, development finance and property finance.
You will work alongside experienced brokers and advisers, learn the commercial finance market whilst providing administrative, operational and client support throughout the funding process.
You will be responsible for supporting deal progression, maintaining accurate records, communicating with clients and lenders, and ensuring applications move efficiently from enquiry through to completion.
This role is designed to provide a structured pathway into a Commercial Finance Broker position through on-the-job learning, coaching and development.
Core Responsibilities
Broker & Administrative Support
- Support Commercial Finance Brokers with day-to-day administration
- Assist in gathering client information and documentation
- Prepare funding application packs for lender submission
- Maintain accurate records within CRM and business systems
- Monitor deal progress and update stakeholders accordingly
- Assist with lender communications and information requests
- Manage broker diaries and appointments where required
- Support reporting and pipeline management activities
- Maintain accurate client files and records
Client Service & Communication
- Act as a professional first point of contact for clients
- Support clients throughout the funding journey
- Provide updates on application progress
- Liaise with lenders, accountants, solicitors and other third parties
- Build positive relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Deliver a responsive and professional customer experience
- Support brokers in achieving positive client outcomes
Commercial Finance Learning & Development
- Develop knowledge of commercial finance products and markets
- Learn lender criteria and funding structures
- Participate in training, coaching and development activities
- Build understanding of business finance requirements
- Develop consultative communication and relationship-building skills
- Progress towards managing opportunities independently
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure documentation is accurate and complete
- Follow internal processes and compliance requirements
- Maintain accurate audit trails and client records
- Support compliance monitoring activities
- Maintain confidentiality and data protection standards
- Escalate concerns, risks or issues appropriately
- Support the business in maintaining FCA and regulatory standards where applicable
Team Support & Collaboration
- Work collaboratively across Financial Services divisions
- Support colleagues during busy periods
- Participate positively in team meetings
- Contribute ideas for service and process improvements

Pay: £24,784.50-£26,000.00 per year
