About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Contracts Manager to oversee the successful delivery of electrical installations across multiple housing developments throughout Essex. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional with a strong background in electrical contracting, project management, and client relationship management.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing contracts from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple electrical contracts across new-build housing developments.
- Coordinate labour, materials, subcontractors, and resources to meet project deadlines.
- Liaise with site managers, developers, clients, and internal teams.
- Monitor project budgets and financial performance.
- Ensure compliance with current electrical regulations, health and safety legislation, and company procedures.
- Conduct regular site visits and progress meetings.
- Oversee quality control and commissioning processes.
- Manage variations, valuations, and contract documentation.
- Support the procurement of materials and subcontract services.
- Resolve technical and operational issues efficiently.
- Produce project reports and provide updates to senior management.
Requirements
Essential
- ECS Gold card holder.
- Proven experience in Project Management.
- Strong understanding of new-build housing developments.
- Excellent project management and organisational skills.
- Strong commercial awareness and budget management experience.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
Desirable
- SMSTS or SSSTS qualification.
- Experience working with major housing developers.
- Inspection and Testing qualifications (2391 or equivalent).
