Full job description

:We are looking for a full time animal care assistant to join our team at a busy mixed veterinary practice in Greenock.

Key responsibilities:

Working under the guidance and instruction of our vets and nursing team, to fulfil any house keeping and animal care duties as required.

You will be assisting in the handling of patients for basic procedures.

Assist in the setting up and cleaning down of prep room and theatre.

Ensuring all inpatients have their basic husbandry needs attended to.

Run in house diagnostic tests as well as packaging samples to be sent to external labs.

Stocking pharmacy and dispensing medications under the guidance of the senior clinical team.

Hours – 40 per week plus 1/3 weekends.

Monday – Friday: 40 hours. Compressed hours may be available.

Saturday: 8:30-3pm

Sunday:09:30-12:00

Applicant must have previous animal care assistant experience. Full training on our policies and procedures will be provided.
