Diodes Greenock fab site has ~300 employees, and is a producer of both Analogue ICs, and Discrete transistors. Products produced are used in a wide variety of different markets, including Automotive, Industrial, consumer, communications, and computing.
The site has recently seen significant investment in new equipment, allowing it to move down to the 180nm technology node.
Power MOSFET process development is at the forefront of our strategy, and we are looking to recruit experienced engineers to support the new technology and equipment being released at the site.
As a Process Engineer Assistant, you will become a member of the Process Engineering group, reporting to process section manager. You will be required to support current shift engineering.
You will play an integral part in helping the site achieve KPI metrics (Quality / Yield / Cycle Time)
Successful candidate will be required to work with colleagues from different departments for example, IT and Equipment Maintenance and collaborate with manufacturing group to set priorities,
- Dispositioning of non-conforming material
- Reworking of non-conforming material
- Respond to SPC violations
- Use of OCAP’s
- Represent day shift Process Engineer on off shifts
- Carry out engineering tasks requested by day shift
- Escalate issues encountered on off shift to relevant Process Engineers
- Support all manufacturing activities and ensure that all quality, customer, and safety requirements are exceeded.
Participate in cross functional teams on Continuous Improvement Projects (5S)

Individual must have relevant semiconductor fab experience or have held a similar role within the semiconductor industry with proven application and knowledge of process control, use of fab systems (MES / Workstream / PSI) and the use of OCAPs. Demonstrate the ability to follow defined procedures accurately and diligently.
