Are you an experienced Electrician looking for more than just your next role, something that builds your future as well as your skills? This is your chance to join the Chapelcross Maintenance Department, gaining valuable new expertise while contributing to essential site operations from day one.
You will become part of a multi disciplined team responsible for keeping plant and equipment safe, reliable and compliant. The work is varied and meaningful, and you will be supported to broaden your capabilities in a setting where safety underpins everything we do.
With a four day working week, Monday to Thursday, 07.30 to 17.15, this role also offers a working pattern that supports a better balance outside of work.
What will you be doing
You will carry out examination, inspection, maintenance and testing activities across site, using your electrical skills to support the plant maintenance schedule and statutory requirements.
Success in this role comes from applying your skills carefully, working safely at all times and maintaining accurate records that support compliance and operational performance. You will contribute to continuous improvement on site while developing your own capability within a supportive team environment.
- Carry out core electrical maintenance work in line with health, safety, security, environmental and quality standards
- Inspect, test and maintain plant and equipment to support site operations
- Maintain clear and accurate maintenance records
Who are we looking for
You will be a time served Electrician with a solid technical foundation and a willingness to grow into a broader role. You should have a good awareness of modern safe working practices, including the Health and Safety at Work Act, along with experience of working effectively as part of a team.
We are looking for someone who is motivated, adaptable and open to learning new disciplines. You will be comfortable working across a varied workload. A practical, reliable approach and a strong focus on safety will set you apart. Experience in electrical inspection and testing to BS7671 would be useful, but not essential.

- Strong awareness of safe working practices in a technical setting
- Desirable experience in electrical inspection and testing to BS7671
