Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Landscaper to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing outdoor spaces through various landscaping activities. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work outdoors, utilise a range of tools and machinery, and contribute to the creation and upkeep of beautiful, functional landscapes. Applicants should have a passion for gardening, horticulture, and construction, with a keen eye for detail and safety.

Duties

Perform landscape maintenance including mowing, pruning, planting, fertilising, and weed control
Operate power tools such as trimmers, blowers, and lawnmowers efficiently and safely
Use hand tools for planting, digging, edging, and general garden care
Handle machinery including excavators and irrigation systems for installation and maintenance purposes
Assist with construction projects such as installing pathways, fences, or garden features
Conduct routine maintenance of equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance
Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of work areas
Collaborate with team members to complete projects within specified timeframes while adhering to health and safety standards

Skills

Proven experience in landscape maintenance or gardening is desirable
Mechanical knowledge related to power tools, machinery, and irrigation systems
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
Experience operating heavy machinery such as excavators is advantageous
Strong understanding of horticulture principles and garden design
Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, digging, and manoeuvring equipment throughout the day
Good organisational skills with attention to detail in maintaining outdoor environments
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various weather conditions
