Role Overview
The Telesales Agent is responsible for engaging with prospective customers over the phone to promote and sell Project Green Group's range of renewable energy products and services. The role involves building rapport, understanding customer needs, explaining the benefits of renewable technologies, and converting enquiries into qualified sales opportunities or confirmed sales. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping customers reduce their energy costs while supporting the UK's transition to sustainable energy.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Customer Engagement
- Make outbound calls to prospective customers using company-provided leads and databases.
- Respond to inbound enquiries regarding renewable energy products and services.
- Identify customer needs and recommend suitable renewable energy solutions.
- Explain the features, benefits, and potential savings of products such as solar PV, battery storage, air source heat pumps, EV chargers, and insulation solutions.
- Build trust and maintain a professional, customer-focused approach throughout every interaction.
- Close sales where appropriate or arrange appointments for surveys and consultations.
Lead Management
- Maintain accurate customer records using the company's CRM system.
- Follow up with prospective customers to progress enquiries.
- Manage sales pipelines and ensure all customer interactions are recorded.
- Meet daily, weekly, and monthly call and sales activity targets.
Product Knowledge
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the company's renewable energy products and services.
- Keep up to date with government schemes, incentives, and industry developments where relevant.
- Clearly explain installation processes, funding options, and expected customer benefits.
Customer Service
- Deliver a positive customer experience from initial contact through to handover.
- Answer customer questions accurately and professionally.
- Handle objections confidently and ethically.
- Escalate complex technical queries to the appropriate department when required.
Compliance
- Conduct all sales activities in accordance with company policies and relevant regulations.
- Ensure customer information is handled securely and confidentially.
- Follow data protection requirements and telephone sales best practices.
- Maintain accurate documentation to support compliance and auditing requirements.
Skills & Experience
- Previous telesales, sales, or customer service experience.
- Excellent communication and listening skills.
- Confident telephone manner with the ability to build rapport quickly.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills.
- Ability to work towards and achieve sales targets.
- Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Experience within the renewable energy, utilities, home improvements, or energy efficiency sectors is desirable but not essential.

Pay: £24,420.00-£50,130.43 per year
Work Location: In person
