At David Moore Engineering, we are a renowned high-precision engineering company specialising in the restoration, machining, and assembly of high-end classic engines — from iconic Ferraris to legendary Jaguars.

With decades of experience and a reputation for uncompromising quality, we take pride in building and restoring some of the world’s most revered classic performance engines.

We are looking for a skilled and passionate Engine Builder to join our experienced team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on rare and prestigious classic engines in a workshop dedicated to engineering excellence and craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities

Precision assembly and rebuilding of classic and performance engines
Inspection, measurement, and checking of engine components to exact tolerances
Diagnosing engine faults and determining corrective work required
Working closely with the machining department to ensure the highest build quality
Blueprinting and preparation of engine components for assembly
Maintaining exceptional cleanliness, organisation, and attention to detail throughout the build process
Collaborating with a small, highly skilled team passionate about classic engineering

About You

Proven experience in engine building, engine reconditioning, or precision mechanical assembly
Strong understanding of engine tolerances, clearances, and measurement techniques
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Passion for classic, high-performance, or motorsport engines
A strong work ethic and commitment to producing work of the highest standard
