Full job description

Role: Yard Operative – Stockport – 45 hours per week – 7.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday

About you:

Are you a determined individual? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Yard Operative to join our talented and high respected team at our Stockport Depot.

You will be responsible for the preparation of all plant equipment for our skilled engineers to complete their pre hire checks. You will also be responsible for the tidiness and organisation of the yard whilst ensuring you follow all health and safety procedures. You will be familiar with driving plant equipment and will support the drivers by ensuring that the equipment is ready for them to deliver when required.

Key responsibilities:

Responsible for keeping yard areas clean and tidy
Off Hire damages noted and reported, machines cleaned for workshop servicing
Ensure that any plant equipment leaving the depot has been refuelled, pressure washed & cab is clean
Machines parked in correct areas
Occasional loading and unloading of equipment

Essential:

Be able to work as part of a team as well as independently
Always ensures work is completed to a high standard
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
Customer focused
Excellent time management skills
Keep up to date with Company policies and procedures
Ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner
Driving licence

Desirable:

Experience working in the Plant Hire industry
Towing licence
