Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Flooring Labourer to join our construction team. This role involves assisting with various flooring installation projects, supporting skilled tradespeople, and ensuring the smooth progress of site operations. The ideal candidate will be physically fit, eager to learn, and capable of working effectively in a team environment. Prior experience in construction or related trades is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop practical skills within the construction industry.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and installation of flooring materials, including laminate, hardwood, and vinyl
- Use hand tools such as hammers, chisels, and screwdrivers to support installation tasks
- Operate power tools safely and efficiently under supervision
- Read and interpret schematics and plans to ensure accurate placement of flooring components
- Support carpentry tasks related to subflooring and underlayments
- Help with site clean-up, organisation of materials, and maintaining a safe working environment
- Assist with construction painting tasks as needed during project phases
- Follow health and safety regulations at all times to minimise risks on site
Experience
- Previous experience in construction or carpentry is desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in building environments
- Basic understanding of schematics and construction drawings is beneficial
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift heavy materials safely
- Willingness to learn new skills and take direction from senior team members

Pay: From £12.47 per hour
