We have an exciting opportunity for a part time Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy Team at HMP Drake Hall, a women's closed prison, located near the town of Eccleshall in Staffordshire with around 340 females inmates.

The Pharmacy is a centralised dispensary based within the healthcare department.

HMP Drake Hall offers:

Hours

Monday - Sunday service
33 hours per week
7.15am - 7.15pm
12 week rolling rota

Salary

This position is part time, you’ll receive an annual salary between £29,264-33,510 per annum FTE which will be pro rota - depending on experience.

What you'll be doing

As a Pharmacy Technician, your responsibilities will vary. You will

Provide outstanding quality based patient centred care to our patients seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them.
Focussing on providing a safe and secure medicines management service, ensuring patient medical records are maintained to the agreed standard at all times and ensuring standard operating procedures are followed to a high and orderly standard.
Deliver non-judgemental care within the scope of professional standards. Involving anything from the timely administration of medicines through to analysing cost effective prescribing as defined through our unique health in justice medicines policy.

NVQ Level 3, or above, BTEC or equivalent
Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
Up to date with Continual Professional Development (CPD)
Relevant post-qualification pharmacy experience
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
