Cafe & Events Team Front of House , Blackpit Brewery
We have a fantastic opportunity to join our small & dynamic team. The role will cover management of our beautiful event venue, as well as working with the wider team to deliver aspects of our outdoor events portfolio, including Stowaway Festival, Silverstone Woodlands Campsite and our Bonfire & Fireworks events.
Blackpit Events venue is a small, family-run business, based in our beautiful events venue and cafe, just next to Silverstone racing circuit.
Overview:
This role involves delivering exceptional guest services during both cafe operations and special events, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills, and experience in catering or restaurant environments. Previous hotel or culinary experience is advantageous, along with a strong understanding of food safety and food preparation standards. This position offers an engaging environment where you can develop your skills within the hospitality industry while contributing to memorable guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive service throughout their visit or event
- Take orders accurately and serve food and beverages in a timely manner
- Assist with food safety procedures, including proper handling and presentation of food items
- Support catering functions by setting up and clearing tables, ensuring cleanliness and organisation
- Prepare light snacks & sandwiches alongside the back of house kitchen team
- Provide information about menu items, specials, and venue facilities to guests
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation during busy periods or events
- Maintain a clean and organised front of house area, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Assist with event set-up and breakdown as required, ensuring all guest needs are met efficiently
- Work during events to provide bar and food service
- Handle guest enquiries professionally, resolving any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality, catering, serving, or restaurant roles is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation techniques preferred but not essential
- Strong guest service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
- Flexibility to work during weekends or evenings if required (though primarily during operational hours)
