We are looking for a reliable, hard-working individual to join our 4th generation family run business. Butterfield Group employs 180 multi-skilled, sign specific experienced personnel operating from our Bradford factory locations. The role of Sign Installer’s mate will assist the Sign Installer and is managed by the installation manager but they will liaise with Sales and Production to ensure the jobs are completed efficiently to customer specification. There will be on the job training, development and opportunities for growth and career progression.
Job Responsibilities
- To work with and assist the fitter on the installation of sign work with a view of learning all the aspects of installation so to progress within the company to taking a van on as a fitter.
- To help in the loading and packing the signs in the van taking care not to damage any items
- To assist in the assembly of any mobile scaffold (Training will be given)
- To assist in carrying out signage Installations from non-illuminated signs / illuminated signs / built up letters / flat cut panels / box signs / flex face signs /lighting troughs /LED Lighting / neon / graphics / vinyl’s most of this work will be on site training with the lead fitter.
- Ability to read and understand manufacturing and installation drawings /written instruction
- Ability to converse with the customer on site if required
- To help in the responsibility for up-keep of company vehicle and equipment
- Follow company H&S policy for safe working practices at all times
- To assist the lead fitter in making sure all installations are left in a good clean & working order

Skills required
- Have a basic knowledge of the wiring systems within the signage industry
- GCSE in English and Maths C or above
- CSCS / IPAF / PASMA / First Aid, desirable. Training will be available
- Be competent with the use of power tools Electric and Battery
- Hold a full clean driving license
