TMC Garden Buildings is a leading retailer of high-quality garden buildings, log cabins, summerhouses, sheds, and garden offices. We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic, and motivated Sales Advisor to join our team at our brand-new display site at Cherry Lane Nurseries, Pottersbury, opening in September 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys meeting people, providing outstanding customer service, and helping customers find the perfect garden building for their needs.
Full training will be provided at our Roxton Garden Centre showroom prior to the opening of the new site. We also have a sales vacancy at our site at Roxton.
About the Role
This position is available on either a full-time or part-time basis and will involve job sharing, holiday cover, and working a rota that includes weekends and Bank Holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service to every visitor.
- Welcome customers, understand their requirements, and guide them through the sales process.
- Answer telephone and email enquiries professionally and efficiently.
- Prepare quotations, process sales orders, and produce invoices.
- Maintain accurate customer and sales records.
- Work closely with the Sales Manager to achieve sales targets.
- Open and secure the display site as required.
- Ensure the showroom and display buildings are clean, tidy, and well presented at all times.
- Assist in maintaining an attractive and inviting sales environment.
About You
We're looking for someone who has:
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- A positive, friendly, and professional manner.
- Previous sales experience (preferred but not essential).
- Good computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and email.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- The ability to work independently and use their own initiative.
- A flexible approach to working 3–4 days per week, including some weekends and Bank Holidays.
