Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Restaurant and Bar Assistant to join our team. This role involves providing exceptional guest services, supporting food and beverage operations, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. The successful candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently. Previous experience in restaurant / bar settings is essential. Training will be provided. Staff accommodation available.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements to ensure a positive dining experience
- Ensuring timely delivery to guests
- Serve food and drinks in accordance with health and safety standards, maintaining cleanliness throughout service
- Support food preparation activities as needed, including basic kitchen tasks and organisation of supplies
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene at all times
- Setting up and clearing tables efficiently
- Handle guest enquiries courteously, resolving any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction
- Ability to work on one's own essential and willingness to mulit-task
- Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is mandatory; enthusiasm for learning is essential
- Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation techniques
- Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities
- Good understanding of guest service principles and the importance of creating a welcoming atmosphere
- Ability to perform basic maths accurately for billing and cash handling purposes
- Kitchen or culinary experience is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with food handling procedures
- Effective communication skills with a friendly demeanour
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy periods
- Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required

Pay: £12.71-£15.00 per hour
