Care Assistant – Night Shift

The Role
As a Night Shift Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the health, wellbeing, comfort, and safety of our residents throughout the night. Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering compassionate, person-centred care to residents in a residential setting
- Assisting with personal care, continence care, repositioning, and supporting residents during the night
- Providing reassurance and emotional support to residents who may be anxious or unsettled
- Supporting residents living with Alzheimer’s, dementia, and other health conditions
- Monitoring and recording residents’ wellbeing and reporting any concerns appropriately
- Carrying out regular safety and welfare checks throughout the night
- Maintaining a safe, clean, calm, and comfortable environment
- Working closely with colleagues and healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standard of care
What We’re Looking For
- A kind, patient, and empathetic nature
- A genuine desire to support and care for others
- SVQ Level 2 or 3 is desirable but not essential — full training and support can be provided
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team during night shifts
- Reliability and flexibility to work on a rota basis
Shift Pattern
- Night shifts are 12.25 hours per shift
- Contracted over 2 nights per week
- Part-time permanent position
