Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Oversee specific sections of the kitchen, such as grill, pastry, or sauce stations
- Ensure all food prepared meets safety and hygiene regulations
- Assist in meal preparation during busy service periods to maintain efficiency
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations at all times
- Collaborate with team members to deliver exceptional dining experiences
- Monitor stock levels and communicate needs for replenishment
- Support junior kitchen staff and provide guidance when necessary
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Previous fresh food experience is highly desirable
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak hours
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
- Culinary qualification or relevant training is preferred but not essential
