Associate Surveyor - Valuation

An opportunity has arisen in our South Coast Valuation team for an experienced and highly motivated individual to become part of our successful and expanding office. This role offers excellent career development prospects, working with a strong list of prestigious clients and instructions.
By joining our Valuation team, this role offers the opportunity to contribute to a broad range of valuation and advisory services across commercial, residential, industrial and potentially specialist marine sectors. You will be responsible for delivering accurate property valuations for sale, lease, investment, and insurance purposes, alongside preparing detailed technical reports, feasibility studies, and other relevant documentation.
Responsibilities:
Comprehensively apply the principles of Valuation for clients & colleagues
Remain current and abreast of current legislation that applies to the RICS competencies
Prepare reports and advice, proof-read the reports of others. You are as responsible for the end product as the originator.
Ensure the correct use of templates, provide constructive feedback before, during and after and assist the development of colleagues in this area.
Undertake Qualitative Audits of written documentation in line with discipline processes as required.
Proactively and appropriately share knowledge, information and contacts both for the benefit of the wider business and to support personal and team business plans
Secure new instructions by leading a team with both internal & external collaboration partners and becoming mostly self-sufficient.
The ideal candidate will have:
MRICS Chartered - Demonstrate all RICS Competencies.
Good leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team towards achieving success.
Good communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively managing client and stakeholder relationships.
Analytical and strategic thinking skills, adept at business planning and financial management.
High levels of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to ethical practices.
A good understanding of RICS guides and best practices relating to property Valuation and performance.
Agile and adaptable, capable of managing complex client needs and dynamic market conditions.
