Mobile Cleaning Supervisor

Acies Cleaning · Brighton (mobile across Brighton & Sussex) £14 per hour · 15 hours per week · Part-time, permanent Full UK driving licence and own car essential — mileage paid

About Acies

Acies is a Brighton-based commercial cleaning company looking after offices and corporate workspaces across Brighton and Sussex. We're not the cheapest, and we don't try to be-clients stay with us because we're reliable, professional, and genuinely easy to deal with. Our cleaning team takes pride in their work, and we back them with proper kit, clear standards, and modern tools that make the job easier rather than harder.

We're growing, and we're looking for a hands-on supervisor to help us keep standards high across our sites.

The role

This is a mobile, part-time role checking and supporting cleaning work across our client sites. You'll be out and about during our lunchtime and evening cleaning windows - spot-checking quality, supporting the team, catching issues before a client ever notices them, and stepping in to cover a shift when someone's off.

The hours are built around when cleaning happens, so expect to work around the middle of the day and into the early evening. We'll agree a regular weekly pattern with you.

What you'll be doing

Visiting client sites to check cleaning is completed to standard
Supporting, motivating, and guiding the cleaning team on the ground
Covering cleaning shifts when team members are on holiday or off sick
Checking stock levels and making sure sites are properly supplied
Being a calm, capable point of contact for on-site client queries
Reporting quality and any issues back to the operations lead (we use simple digital tools — no paperwork mountains)
Helping onboard and train new starters
Making sure equipment and cleaning products are used safely and correctly

What we're looking for

Essential

A full UK driving licence and your own reliable car - you'll travel between sites and we pay mileage
Hands-on commercial or contract cleaning experience
High standards and an eye for detail - you notice the thing others walk past
Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy with keys and site access
Friendly, clear communication with both team members and clients

Desirable

Previous supervisory or team-lead experience (we'll happily develop the right person)
Comfortable using a smartphone app for checks and reporting
Working knowledge of COSHH and health & safety basics in cleaning

What you'll get

£14 per hour, depending on experience
15 hours a week on a regular, agreed pattern
