Based in Hook, Hampshire, our European office plays a key role in supporting both regional and international operations. We are a collaborative and forward-thinking business, where employees are encouraged to share ideas, drive continuous improvement, and make a meaningful impact.

About the Role

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Assistant to join our team. This role plays a key part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial operations, supporting everything from day-to-day processing through to month-end reporting and compliance.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build on their finance experience within a supportive and dynamic environment.

As part of our Finance team, you will:

Support the preparation of monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and variance analysis
Prepare and maintain accruals, prepayments, and journals
Liaise with Group functions on intercompany recharges
Run monthly depreciation and complete inventory reconciliations
Perform bank reconciliations and ensure transactions are accurately recorded
Prepare and process supplier and ad hoc payments
Ensure accurate and timely VAT returns in line with HMRC regulations
Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations, reviewing and analysing all accounts
Process employee expenses
Support monthly P&L reviews with the Finance Manager and Finance Director
Prepare reporting packs for Spain and the USA
Assist with year-end audit and liaise with external auditors
Contribute to process improvements and continuous improvement initiatives

Experience & Skills:

Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant or similar role
Experience working with multi-currency transactions
Manufacturing industry experience is advantageous
Good understanding of finance processes and systems
Strong Excel and data entry skills

Ability to manage tasks effectively and meet deadlines
