About the Role
We’re looking for a Junior Technical Author to join our growing team and support the creation, maintenance, and control of technical documentation across our products and internal processes.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone at the early stages of their career who has strong writing skills, great attention to detail, and an interest in working within an engineering-led environment.
You’ll work closely with engineers and stakeholders across the business to produce clear, accurate, and user-friendly documentation that supports our products and operations.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Support the creation and maintenance of user manuals for our products
- Assist with Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) documentation, including:
- Maintenance plans and manuals
- Spares lists and parts catalogues
- Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Collate technical information from engineers and manufacturing teams
- Ensure documentation is clear, accurate, and easy to follow
- Update documents in line with engineering and configuration changes
- Follow document control processes, templates, and version control standards
- Support document reviews and approval workflows
- Help organise, store, and manage technical documentation
- Contribute to improving documentation processes and best practices

What We’re Looking For:
Essential
- Degree or equivalent experience in Technical Authoring, Engineering, or a related field
- Strong written English and excellent attention to detail
- Ability to understand and interpret technical information
- Good organisation and time management skills
- Confident using Microsoft Office
- Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- A willingness to learn and develop within a technical environment
Desirable (Not Essential)
- Experience creating or maintaining technical documentation
- Exposure to engineering, marine, or manufacturing environments
- Understanding of ILS documentation or SOPs
- Familiarity with tools such as JIRA or document management systems
- Interest in engineering, robotics, or advanced technologies
