Location: Upper Broughton, LE14 3BQ (on-site role)
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum (commensurate with skills/experience/qualifications)
Contract Type: 12-Month FTC, full-time (37.5 hours a week, 9.00 am to 5.00 pm, Mon to Fri)

About the Group: Operating from our shared Leicestershire site, Sulney Nursery and Carrier Landscapes work together to deliver high-quality landscaping and horticultural services across the UK. With over 35 years’ experience, Sulney Nursery supplies trees and shrubs nationwide, while Carrier Landscapes is a trusted partner to leading UK housebuilders and commercial organisations. Employed by Sulney Nursery, this role will support finance activities across both businesses, offering broad exposure across a varied and growing Group finance function.
We are seeking a motivated, enthusiastic, and experienced Finance Manager to join our growing Team.
Key Responsibilities:
· Financial reporting, analysis and month-end support
· Budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management
· Month-end and year-end accounting processes
· VAT, payroll and statutory compliance support
· Bank, balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations
· Purchase ledger, sales ledger and credit control support
· Inventory, stock and work in progress controls
· Maintaining financial controls and identifying process improvements
· Stakeholder communication and business partnering across operational teams
· Ensuring financial accuracy and meeting reporting deadlines
Essential skills, experience and or qualifications:
· Minimum 3 years’ experience within a finance role and exposure to management reporting, month-end processes and credit control
· Knowledge of stock controls, WIP, retentions and VAT accounting (including zero-rated, postponed VAT and domestic reverse charge)
· Proficiency in Sage 50 Accounts Professional or similar finance systems
· Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, lookups and data analysis
· Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
· Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
· Ability to manage competing priorities and work to deadlines
· Strong communication skills and confidence working with non-finance stakeholders
