About the Role:
Advanced Couplings Ltd. as part of Ideal Tridon Group is a global leader in flow control solutions for the pharmaceutical, food & beverage and Data Centre sectors. We are seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Turner Programmer/Setter/Operator to join our team.
You will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating our Doosan Puma Mill/Turn lathes, including machines with 2nd spindle and live tooling. You will also be expected to operate other machinery as required, supporting efficient production across the site.
This role operates on a late shift pattern, outside of standard daytime hours, working a 40-hour week across four days.
Key Responsibilities:
· Program, set, and operate CNC turning machines to produce components to specification.
· Set up machines, including loading materials, securing workpieces, and installing tooling and fixtures.
· Select appropriate cutting tools, carry out tool changes, and complete tool and work offsets.
· Operate Fanuc-controlled CNC turning centres, including Doosan Puma 4100M and 2600SY II machines.
· Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to maintain precision, quality, and efficiency.
· Perform routine maintenance to ensure machines remain in optimal working condition.
· Inspect components to ensure they meet quality standards and technical specifications.
· Conduct in-process checks and measurements, identifying and resolving any quality issues.
· Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, compliant working environment.
· Adhere to company policies, quality standards, and production schedules.
Key Requirements:
· Evidence of successful completion of CNC machining training or apprenticeship.
· Proven experience in CNC programming, setting, and operation.
· Strong working knowledge of Fanuc controls and CNC turning centres.
· Experience with Doosan Puma machines (4100M & 2600SY II) is highly desirable.
· Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
· High attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
· Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
· Good understanding of health and safety practices in a manufacturing environment.
