Wybers Wood Academy are looking to appoint a Primary Teacher to join our academy in September 2026 on a full time, temporary basis for one Term.
Are you looking for a role that will enable you to influence and give direction to the children in your classes? Do you want to work for a Trust that is transforming educational outcomes for students in some of the most deprived areas in the North of England? If so, this could be the role for you.
Your new role
We have an exciting teaching opportunity and are looking for an outstanding, committed and motivated teacher to contribute to the development of teaching and learning in our academy. This is an ideal opportunity for an ambitious and determined classroom practitioner who can display a real passion for developing and inspiring the pupils in their care. Applications are welcomed from ECTs as well as experienced practitioners.
Your new school
At Wybers Wood, we are proud to be an inclusive, caring primary school with just under 400 pupils. Our recent Ofsted inspection praised us as an “exceptional school where pupils flourish.” Inspectors highlighted:
- “Staff have created a culture where children feel safe, happy and eager to learn”.
- “There is a strong sense of community across the school”.
- “Pupils achieve exceptionally well at this school”.
- Staff are overwhelmingly positive about the school. They appreciate the highly effective training and support they receive. Staff feel that leaders care and are considerate of their workload and well-being”.
We take pride in our warm, friendly environment and our commitment to nurturing every child – not just academically, but socially and emotionally too. From their very first days, our pupils are encouraged to develop a love for learning, resilience and confidence, ensuring they achieve things they never thought possible.
Our dedicated staff team go above and beyond to provide the very best for our children – educationally, morally, spiritually and physically. In return, we provide an environment where colleagues feel supported, valued and part of something bigger. As Ofsted noted, “Staff feel proud to work at Wybers Wood Academy.”
We are also proud to hold the Platinum Sportsmark and Silver Artsmark, reflecting our pupils’ exceptional achievements in sport and the arts. Our broad curriculum puts a strong emphasis on oracy, health and confidence, helping pupils to shine as articulate and self-assured young people.
Wybers Wood is a wonderful place to work – with a strong sense of teamwork, community and collaboration at its heart. As part of the Delta Academies Trust, we benefit from excellent professional development opportunities and a culture of reflection and improvement.
We strongly encourage all interested candidates to arrange a visit or get in touch with us before submitting an application — seeing our school in action is the best way to understand why Wybers Wood is such a special place to work and learn.
Why join us?
Staff across the trust are talented and enthusiastic, and all contribute to the trust’s success story.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join an outstanding team within a high-performing multi academy trust with exciting career prospects for successful applicants.
