This is a brilliant opportunity to help bring our distinctive Lounges,Cosy Clubs and Brightside sites to life. Known for our quirky spaces,individual style and brilliant locations at the heart of local communities,no two projects are ever quite the same. You'll support the assessment,planning,and delivery of new site developments from initial feasibility through to project handover,helping projects progress efficiently and in line with brand standards,budget requirements,and regulatory obligations.
You'll play an important part in keeping projects moving by supporting the Architectural Designer across feasibility reviews,site assessments,sketch schemes,layouts,presentation drawings and development documentation. You'll help coordinate communication between internal teams,external consultants,project managers,contractors and landlords,maintain accurate project records,track progress through key development stages,and flag actions,risks or missing information. You'll also assist in preparing information for project approvals,Capex reviews and development meetings,making this a hands-on support role for someone who enjoys detail,organisation and creativity.
This is an office-based role working from our friendly office in central Bristol 5 days a week.
Getting into the detail:
Design & Planning Support
- Produce and amend layouts,plans,elevations,reflected ceiling plans,and sketch schemes under the direction of the Architectural Designer.
- Support the development of operationally efficient layouts that reflect brand standards,including bar and kitchen workflows,equipment needs,service routes,safety and compliance considerations.
- Review and coordinate technical CAD information,consultant overlays and drawing revisions,maintaining version control throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare presentation materials for internal review and approval meetings.
Project Coordination
- Arrange site surveys,consultant appointments and contractor visits as directed by the Architectural Designer.
- Prepare information requests and collate technical input from specialist consultants,including design,planning,building control,kitchen,services,structural and party wall information.
- Track consultant deliverables and flag delays,gaps or missing information to the Architectural Designer.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain organised project files,drawing registers and development documentation.
- Assist with landlord submissions,building regulations information,consultant reports and supporting approval documentation.
- Check drawings for completeness and consistency before review and approval by the Architectural Designer.
Commercial & Development Support
- Support Capex preparation,project cost tracking and development meeting information.
- Record design changes and help collate information on potential budget and programme impacts.
- Assist in gathering information required for landlord negotiations and enabling works discussions.
Handover Support
- Compile organised handover packs for the Build Team,including approved drawings,specifications,surveys and consultant information.
- Support a smooth transition from development to delivery by ensuring required information is complete and ready for review.
What you’ll bring:
Essential
- Qualification in Architecture,Architectural Technology,Interior Architecture,or a related discipline.
- Confident AutoCAD user with the ability to scale drawings accurately,produce and amend layouts,elevations and reflected ceiling plans,and manage drawing information received from others.
- Experience exporting,receiving,overlaying and reviewing DWG files to support coordination,identify service clashes,and maintain accurate drawing sets.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to support multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and construction information.
- Ability to consider operational requirements within hospitality environments,including bar and kitchen equipment functions,workflow,safety and compliance considerations.
Desirable
- Experience within hospitality,retail,leisure,or commercial fit-out projects.
- Knowledge of UK Building Regulations and planning processes.
- Experience supporting the coordination of external consultants and contractors.
- Familiarity with Revit,SketchUp,Adobe Creative Suite,or similar design software; 3D design,modelling or rendering experience would be beneficial.
- Understanding of project budgets,procurement,and construction processes.
