Help shape the next chapter of an award-winning British DTC brand
Posh Totty Designs is an award-winning British jewellery and gifting brand, handcrafting meaningful personalised jewellery and keepsakes in Brighton since 2004.
Every piece is handmade to order in our Brighton workshop using recycled precious metals, celebrating the people, places and moments that matter most. We sell through our Shopify website, our Brighton and London stores, selected concessions and marketplaces, serving customers across the UK and internationally.
Our brand is well established, our customers are incredibly loyal and our products have a genuine emotional connection. We have ambitious plans to grow our direct-to-consumer business, and we're looking for someone who wants to play a key role in making that happen.
This role is ideally suited to someone who has helped grow a direct-to-consumer brand. You understand the pace of an entrepreneurial business and know that sustainable ecommerce growth comes from continually improving the customer experience, not simply increasing marketing spend.
About the role
This isn't a website maintenance role.
We're looking for someone who has lived and breathed direct-to-consumer ecommerce. Someone who enjoys spotting opportunities, testing ideas and using data, creativity and commercial thinking to drive measurable growth.
You'll be equally comfortable reviewing Shopify analytics, improving a product page, planning a seasonal campaign, refining an email journey or challenging an agencies recommendations. You naturally ask why something isn't performing and are motivated to make it better.
Working closely with our Founder, Associate Art Director, internal teams and specialist agency partners, you'll take ownership of our ecommerce trading and CRM strategy, helping customers discover our products, enjoy a seamless shopping experience and return again and again.
CRM will be a major focus of this role. We're looking for someone who understands how to grow revenue through intelligent email and SMS marketing, customer segmentation, automation and lifecycle marketing. You'll be responsible for developing a best-in-class Klaviyo programme that strengthens customer relationships, increases repeat purchase and becomes one of our most profitable sales channels.
You'll have the opportunity to shape strategy as well as execution. We're looking for someone who enjoys bringing ideas to the table, testing new approaches and using insight to influence decision-making. This is a role where you'll have genuine ownership, the freedom to make improvements and the opportunity to make a measurable commercial impact on a growing direct-to-consumer business.
While you won't be expected to manage Meta or Google Ads yourself, you'll understand paid acquisition well enough to work confidently with agencies, challenge performance, ensure campaigns are landing on the right pages and maximise return on investment.
What you'll be doing
- Own the day-to-day trading of our Shopify website, ensuring it is commercially focused, visually inspiring and always customer-first.
- Manage homepage merchandising, collections, product launches, seasonal campaigns, gift guides and promotional activity.
- Continually improve product pages, navigation, search, filtering, landing pages and the overall customer journey.
- Monitor website performance and identify practical opportunities to improve conversion rate, average order value, revenue and customer engagement.
- Take ownership of our Klaviyo strategy and execution, creating high-performing campaigns, automated flows, segmentation and customer lifecycle journeys that increase engagement, repeat purchase and revenue.
- Build a commercially effective annual trading calendar across gifting occasions, product launches and evergreen collections.
- Work closely with our Associate Art Director to brief engaging creative that balances beautiful brand presentation with commercial performance.
- Coordinate external agencies across paid media, affiliate marketing and CRM, ensuring campaigns are well planned, properly briefed and accountable for results.
- Understand PPC, Google Shopping, Meta, affiliate marketing, SEO and emerging AI search trends well enough to challenge recommendations and identify opportunities.
- Implement practical SEO improvements across Shopify, including collection copy, metadata, internal linking, structured content and product page optimisation.
- Plan, prioritise and evaluate onsite testing and customer journey improvements to continually increase conversion and sales.
- Produce clear weekly reporting covering revenue, traffic, conversion rate, average order value, email performance, repeat purchase, customer lifetime value and key trading insights.
- Translate reporting into clear actions and priorities for the wider business.
- Work closely with product, stock, workshop, retail, operations and finance teams to ensure ecommerce activity is commercially sensible and operationally achievable.
- Use AI tools and automation where appropriate to improve workflows, content creation, reporting and operational efficiency.
- Support ecommerce projects from concept through to implementation, ensuring actions are delivered to a high standard.
What we're looking for
- At least three years' experience in a hands-on ecommerce, Shopify, digital trading or CRM role.
- Experience working within a growing direct-to-consumer (DTC) brand is essential.
- Experience within jewellery, gifting, fashion, beauty, lifestyle or another premium consumer category would be highly advantageous.
- Strong Shopify experience, including merchandising, collections, product management, promotional activity and content management.
- Experience using Klaviyo or another sophisticated email marketing platform, including campaigns, automated flows and customer segmentation.
- A strong understanding of ecommerce metrics including conversion rate, average order value, customer acquisition cost (CAC), return on ad spend (ROAS), repeat purchase, customer lifetime value (CLV) and revenue.
- Experience improving customer journeys, landing pages and product page performance.
- Comfortable managing external agencies and holding partners accountable for commercial performance.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to turn data into practical commercial decisions.
- Exceptional attention to detail. You notice broken journeys, inconsistent messaging, poor merchandising and missed opportunities that others overlook.
- Highly organised, proactive and comfortable managing multiple priorities within a fast-moving business.
- Commercially curious with a genuine interest in understanding customer behaviour and what drives profitable growth.
- Confident making decisions, taking ownership and delivering improvements without waiting for direction.
- A collaborative approach and enthusiasm for working within a creative, founder-led business.
Bonus points if you have
- Shopify Plus experience.
- Experience within jewellery, personalised products, gifting or luxury consumer brands.
- A genuine passion for jewellery, craftsmanship, design or beautifully made products.
- Experience with loyalty, referral or VIP programmes.
- Experience of international ecommerce.
- Familiarity with Pinterest, TikTok Shop or other emerging ecommerce channels.
- Experience working alongside paid media, affiliate or CRM agencies.
- Strong visual merchandising instincts and an eye for premium brand presentation.
