Senior Strategic Pricing Manager

As we deliver our ambitious 2030 Growth Strategy, we’re looking for an individual to act as the global lead for pricing within our commercial excellence transformation, operating as a global process owner to drive a consistent, data‑driven and value‑based pricing culture across Croda to deliver improved margin and commercial outcomes across our Life Sciences and Consumer Care markets.
Who We’re Looking For:
- Prior experience in experience in value-based pricing, commercial analytics and/or strategy consulting

Exposure to pricing tools, CPQ systems or advanced analytics platforms coupled with strong analytical capability (pricing, margin analysis, financial modelling)

Experience working in B2B environments, preferably industrial or specialty chemicals

Ability to influence and engage stakeholders without formal authority

Prior experience leading a complex pricing diagnostic and deployment project within a large organisation

High level of empathy and diplomacy to engage and support regions teams whilst also driving cultural change
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Act as the global point of contact for pricing within the commercial excellence workstream, ensuring alignment, visibility and integration of pricing initiatives across regions.

Define and embed a global pricing framework, including value‑based pricing methodologies, governance models and ways of working that support margin expansion and strategic decision making.

Operate as a centre of excellence for pricing analytics, developing scalable tools, models and dashboards (e.g. margin waterfalls, price‑volume‑mix) to support consistent, insight‑led decision making.

Partner with regional commercial, marketing and R&D teams to support the design and delivery of pricing initiatives, ensuring global standards are applied while accommodating regional market dynamics.

Identify, capture and prioritise pricing‑related continuous improvement opportunities, driving adoption and scaling of best practices across regions and business units.

Establish and govern global pricing policies, playbooks and frameworks, ensuring consistency, compliance and clarity across the organisation.

Act as a point of escalation and mediation across regions on pricing topics, balancing commercial needs with global standards and ensuring alignment.

Support the delivery of the broader commercial excellence transformation programme, including reporting on progress, risks, opportunities, performance metrics and value delivery.

Partner with Sales, Finance, Marketing, R&D and IT to ensure pricing is embedded within broader commercial processes, digital systems and capability initiatives.

Drive the adoption of pricing tools, analytics platforms and digital solutions, including AI‑enabled capabilities, to enhance efficiency and insight generation.

Build pricing capability across the organisation through training, coaching and structured learning, embedding a sustainable pricing culture.
Additional Information
- This role can be hybrid or home office based, ideally within the UK with regular international travel required.
