As the Head Music Teacher you understand and uphold the Exsportise music programme expectations, ensuring all teaching, processes, and paperwork meet company standards consistently. You prepare and maintain detailed, progressive session plans for Centre Manager review when requested, deliver tailored, engaging sessions aligned with the teaching plan while adapting to students' needs, and foster a positive, inclusive learning environment promoting creativity, teamwork, and expression.
You provide focused group teaching with individual attention as needed (mornings, afternoons, or both), liaise with dance staff for joint performances, maintain responsibility for student safety, welfare, and behaviour during activities including discipline, and deliver clear, paced English communication to support language learning, seeking Director of Studies/EFL guidance as required. You lead, support, and mentor any Music Assistants for high-quality delivery, organise end-of-week Friday evening performances and recordings, review risk assessments for safe sessions, manage equipment maintenance / storage / inventory, coordinate instrument hire with Head Office, address student / parent / agent queries efficiently, produce weekly reports, and conduct end-of-week awards
Additional Duties
You participate in daily staff meetings, contributing updates on activity delivery, student welfare, and operations. You adhere to Staff Handbook guidelines and Centre Manager directives, assist with camp setup/pack-down ensuring equipment / resources / facilities are prepared / secured, and undertake any additional reasonable duties.
