Full job description

Banana Moon Day Nursery Barnstaple is seeking a dedicated and passionate Room Leader to join our dynamic team! As a Room Leader, you will be instrumental in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for our children, ensuring they thrive both emotionally and intellectually.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage a designated room, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and education in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
Work collaboratively with your team to plan and implement engaging learning activities that cater to individual children's needs, interests, and developmental stages.
Observe and assess children’s progress, and maintain accurate records to provide feedback to parents and support their child's development.
Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff, ensuring effective communication and support.
Ensure the health, safety, and wellbeing of all children within your care, adhering to all nursery policies and procedures at all times.
Provide guidance and support to junior staff members, fostering a positive and team-oriented atmosphere.
Contribute to the overall success and reputation of the nursery by promoting a welcoming and friendly environment.

Requirements

Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent.
Proven experience working with children in a nursery setting.
Excellent understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Passionate about providing high-quality care and learning for children.
A commitment to safeguarding children and promoting their welfare.
