Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Demolition Labourer to join our construction team. This role involves assisting with the safe and efficient demolition of buildings and structures, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will be physically fit, safety-conscious, and eager to learn new skills within the construction industry. Previous experience in demolition or related trades is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Assist with the safe demolition of buildings, structures, and fixtures according to project specifications
Use hand tools and power tools to dismantle or remove materials safely
Clear debris and waste from site to maintain a clean and organised work area
Support skilled tradespeople such as carpenters, masons, or electricians during various phases of construction projects
Follow health and safety protocols at all times to minimise risk on site
Operate machinery or equipment under supervision as required
Assist with site preparation and organisation for upcoming work phases

Skills

Basic understanding of construction sites and demolition processes
Experience with hand tools such as hammers, chisels, saws, etc.
Familiarity with power tools including drills, grinders, and saws is desirable
Knowledge of construction-related trades such as carpentry, roofing, masonry, plumbing, welding, electrical work or fabrication is a plus
Ability to work physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions
Good organisational skills and attention to safety procedures
Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to different tasks on-site
