E-commerce Product Photographer & Studio Assistant (Part-Time)
Location: Richmond, London
Hours: Part-time, 2.5 days per week — Monday 10am–5pm, Wednesday 10am–5pm, and Friday 10am–2pm.
Pay: £12.71 per hour, paid monthly, equivalent to approximately £10,574.72 per annum based on 16 paid hours per week.
Includes: Statutory pension scheme, paid holiday, and employer National Insurance contributions

About the Role
We're looking for an experienced and highly motivated E-commerce Product Photographer & Studio Assistant to join our small creative studio in Richmond.
This is a hands-on role for someone with extensive experience in professional e-commerce photography and retouching. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality product imagery, maintaining studio standards, and supporting the day-to-day running of the studio.
We're looking for someone who is positive, friendly, reliable, and proactive, with excellent communication skills and a professional manner. As a small business, it's important that you can work independently, adapt to changing priorities, and contribute positively to the studio environment.
Main Responsibilities
- Steaming, prepping, and styling products to a high studio standard.
- Photographing high volumes of products efficiently while maintaining consistency and accuracy.
- Producing ghost mannequin, flat lay, jewellery, various product photography and on-model e-commerce photography.
- Ensuring all imagery meets established brand guidelines and quality standards.
- Working confidently with professional camera equipment, lighting setups, and studio workflows.
- In quiet periods retouching and preparing imagery for e-commerce use. This include ghost mannequin, jewellery, accessory, and product photography to a professional commercial standard.Performing colour correction, background clean-up, clipping paths, dust and imperfection removal, and maintaining image consistency across product ranges.
- Organising and maintaining a clean, professional, and efficient studio environment.
- Physically active, able to unpack, steam, and set up items throughout the day.
- Packing, receiving, and handling product deliveries.
- Managing general studio organisation, tidiness, and stock.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 5 years' experience in professional e-commerce product photography.
- Previous experience working within a commercial photography studio or in-house e-commerce photography environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of cameras, studio lighting, product styling, and photography workflows.
- Advanced retouching skills in Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom.
- Experience photographing and retouching fashion, jewellery, accessories, and lifestyle products.
- Strong knowledge of ghost mannequin photography and retouching workflows.
- Confident directing models during shoots and creating a positive, productive atmosphere on set.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Friendly, professional, and confident when working with clients, models, and external partners.
- A positive, can-do attitude and a genuine desire to contribute to a supportive studio environment.
- Highly organised, reliable, and capable of working independently.
- Flexible and adaptable, with working days occasionally changing depending on product delivery schedules and business needs.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards.
