Full job description

OVERVIEW

Create Destroy Studios is a multi-site creative workspace and dance studio business operating across London. We’re looking for a skilled, reliable contractor with their own van to help us maintain and improve our studios. The role starts at one day per week with consistent, ongoing work — and more shifts are available for the right person. Work ranges from general maintenance and supply runs through to more involved structural and aesthetic improvements.

WHAT THE ROLE INVOLVES

General maintenance and repairs — fixing, installing, and keeping spaces in good order across all studio sites
Larger improvement projects — painting, floor laying, carpentry, soundproofing, and aesthetic upgrades
Installations — smart devices, key safes, smart locks, shelving, mirrors, speakers, panel covers, and similar fixtures
Basic plumbing — cisterns, skirting, sealing, and general snagging
Supply runs — collecting and delivering supplies between our Islington office and studio locations across London
On-site checks — flagging anything that needs attention and reporting back to the operations team with updates and photos

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

✓ Own van — essential for supply runs and moving between sites

✓ Proven experience across general maintenance, carpentry, and/or basic plumbing

✓ Reliable and self-sufficient — able to work independently across multiple locations

✓ Good communicator — comfortable sending updates, photos, and written summaries after visits

✓ Based in London or within easy reach

★ Electrical experience desirable but not essential

Platform Studios, E9

Sugarhouse Island, E15

Monier Works, E3

PAY & COMMITMENT

Rate £20–£45/hr depending on type of work

Fuel covered for all studio travel

Commitment

1 day/week consistent · more shifts available

Pay: £20.00-£45.00 per hour
