Job Summary
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented New Build Properties Snagging Inspector to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting newly constructed properties to identify defects and ensure quality standards are met before handover. Duties
- Conduct comprehensive inspections of new build properties at various stages of completion.
- Identify and document defects, faults, or non-compliance issues relating to finishes, fixtures, and overall build quality.
- Liaise with construction teams and contractors to communicate snagging issues clearly and efficiently.
- Prepare detailed reports highlighting areas requiring rectification, including photographic evidence where necessary.
- Follow up on rectification progress to ensure timely resolution of identified issues.
- Ensure all inspections adhere to relevant building standards, regulations, and client specifications.
- Maintain organised records of inspections, findings, and correspondence for audit purposes.
- Assist in the development of inspection checklists and quality assurance procedures.
Experience
- Previous experience in property inspection, construction quality control, or a similar role is preferred.
- Strong analysis skills with the ability to assess complex building details critically.
- Knowledge of building regulations and standards applicable to new build properties is advantageous.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple inspections efficiently.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, for clear reporting and liaising with stakeholders.
