Job Summary:
We are looking for a new member to join our CNC department, responsible for operating a CNC machine, working night shift.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manufacture all products in strict accordance with company procedures, quality standards, and production systems to ensure consistency and reliability.
2. Set up and operate the CNC Lasers according to programs, drawings, and cutting parameters, ensuring machine settings are correct to achieve the desired cut quality and productivity performance.
3. Maximise machine efficiency by effectively utilising time and continuously monitoring operations to ensure smooth, uninterrupted cutting processes.
4. Accurately read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications to inspect cut parts for dimensional accuracy, surface finish, and other quality characteristics, reporting any defects.
5. Unload components from the CNC Lasers, ensuring they are identified, labelled, and palletised in accordance with company procedures and systems.
6. Collate material from storage racks and record material usage where appropriate.
7. Set up and operate CNC Press Brake in accordance with company procedures, ensuring optimal machine performance and product output.
8. Accurately read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications to program the CNC Press Brake and produce components that meet customer and quality requirements.
9. Correctly identify, label, and palletise finished components following internal procedures to ensure traceability and efficient workflow.
10. Inspect finished products to verify conformance to specifications, completing all required documentation accurately and promptly.
11. Manage workload to optimise machine usage and minimise downtime, ensuring production targets are met.
12. Collaborate with team members and demonstrate flexibility to support overtime, shift work, and changing production demands as required.
13. Assist with routine maintenance tasks and ensure the work area is kept clean, organised. Proactively identify and report any faults or defects in machinery or equipment to minimise disruption and compliant with safety regulations.
14. Adhere to Health and Safety policies, procedures, and legislation, including the correct use of PPE at all times.

- The candidate must be a person who communicates effectively, with colleagues and team members, with an aim to build strong working relationships.
- A proactive and positive approach to problem solving.
- Proficient in operating a forklift to move goods / materials around the site.
- Ability to work under pressure to achieve deadlines, whilst maintaining an attention to detail.
- Strong task prioritisation skills, considering short and long-term needs of the business.
- Is self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Good timekeeping and attendance are essential.
- Any skills gaps will be filled for the right applicant
- ideally have knowledge of Press Brake machines or Laser Machines (Not essential)
