Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Groundworker to join our team. The successful candidate will have experience in drainage works, excavation, muck shifting, and operating excavators/diggers. This is a hands-on role requiring a strong work ethic, attention to safety, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team on construction and civil engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out all aspects of groundworks and site preparation.
- Install, repair, and maintain drainage systems and associated infrastructure.
- Excavate trenches and prepare foundations to specification.
- Operate excavators/diggers safely and efficiently.
- Load, move, and remove soil, spoil, and waste materials.
- Assist with kerbing, concreting, ducting, and other groundwork activities as required.
- Conduct daily plant checks and report any defects.
- Follow site drawings, instructions, and health and safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience in groundworks and drainage installation.
- Valid Excavator/Digger Operator Ticket (CPCS, NPORS, or equivalent).
- Experience with excavation, muck shifting, and trenching operations.
- Good understanding of site health and safety requirements.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physically fit and capable of carrying out manual labour when required.
Desirable Qualifications
- CSCS Card.
- Dumper and Roller Tickets.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Pay: £21.00 per hour
