Responsibilities:
· Operate and monitor laser cutting machines in line with production schedules.
· Work from technical drawings and documentation to produce parts accurately and consistently to customer specification.
· Set up machinery and select correct cutting parameters to ensure accuracy and quality.
· Inspect and measure components, carrying out parts counts and quality checks to maintain high standards throughout.
· Ensure correct materials are loaded and future materials are staged and ready.
· Stack and organise completed components ready for the next stage of production.
· Identify and arrange re-cuts for missing or substandard parts.
· Manage off-cuts, allocating and identifying material using the correct off-cut library.
· Work to production schedules to maximise throughput and efficiency.
· Check and maintain machinery to ensure continued functionality.
· Adhere to company Health & Safety policies and procedures.
Requirements:
· Previous experience operating a laser or similar sheet metal / manufacturing role
· Methodical, detail-oriented approach — precision and consistency are essential.
· Ability to work under pressure and meet production schedules.
· A proactive attitude with a willingness to take ownership of your area
· Experience in performing other manufacturing tasks/roles is preferable allowing for support of overall production.
· Reliable, and committed to maintaining excellent attendance.
Hours & Benefits:
· 4-day working week: Monday–Thursday, 7:00am–5:15pm
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £14.00-£16.50 per hour
