Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Salon Receptionist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our clients, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere and providing exceptional customer service. This role requires strong organisational skills, proficiency in office management, and the ability to handle administrative tasks efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Greet clients warmly as they enter the salon and assist them with check-in procedures.
- Make outbound calls to build positive relationships with clients through friendly and professional communication.
- Manage appointment scheduling using salon software, ensuring optimal use of stylist time.
- Handle incoming phone calls with excellent phone etiquette, addressing client inquiries and booking appointments.
- Responding to all email enquires throughout the day
- Maintain an organised reception area, keeping it tidy and presentable at all times.
- Perform data entry tasks accurately, updating client records and appointment details as needed.
- Process payments and manage cash handling duties in accordance with salon policies.
- Familiarity with using Phorest Bookings is preferred
- Assist clients with product purchases and service recommendations
Requirements
- Previous experience in a receptionist or within an administrative role
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
- Proficient in using computer systems and software applications preferably using Phorest CRM.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a professional phone manner.
- Attention to detail for accurate data entry and record keeping.
- A positive attitude and a passion for providing outstanding customer service.
- Ability to work well within a team while also being self-motivated to complete tasks independently.
Working Conditions:
- Based at the salon front desk, with interaction with clients and staff throughout the day.
- Requires standing for extended periods.
- May include evening shifts to accommodate salon hours.
Qualifications:
- Education: Grade 5 GCSE maths and English or equivalent; additional education in customer service or hospitality is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a receptionist or customer service role, preferably in a salon or spa environment.
