Aura Music Academy is a thriving and dynamic private music education centre based in Altrincham & Wilmslow, working with a team of over 40 talented, self-employed tutors. We're proud of what we've built - a professional, warm and inspiring space where passionate teachers come to do what they love and do it well.
Due to one of our wonderful tutors relocating, we're looking for an experienced and dedicated singing tutor to join our Altrincham team from September 2026.
How We Work
At Aura, you're self-employed and genuinely in control of your teaching practice. You rent a studio space from us on a flexible basis, and in return we handle all the admin - bookings, student communications, fee collection, and scheduling - so you can focus entirely on teaching.
- You set your own lesson rates
- You set your own Terms & Conditions with your students
- You have full flexibility to reschedule lessons and arrange deputy tutors when needed
- You keep your own professional identity - Aura simply provides the space and the infrastructure
Pay
As a self-employed tutor, you set your own lesson prices. Based on the rates our tutors typically charge, average take-home pay is usually between £28–£38 per hour after room rental, depending on the lesson price you set.
About the Role
- Location: Altrincham Studios
- Start Date: September 2026
- Contract Type: Self-employed room rental
- Available Days: Saturdays and Sundays (candidate can take one or both days)
- Hours: Sundays 9am–4pm (or 10am-5pm)

- Proven experience teaching singing
- A valid enhanced DBS certificate
- Public Liability Insurance (or willingness to obtain before starting)
- A positive, professional and student-focused attitude
