Job Title

Qualified Pharmacy Dispenser

Job Summary

We are seeking a Qualified Pharmacy Dispenser to join our pharmacy team. The successful candidate will work under the direction of a registered community pharmacist, supporting the safe and efficient dispensing of prescriptions and delivery of pharmacy services.

This is a 35 hours per week position, Monday to Saturday, including 2 late shifts per week.

Responsibilities and Duties

Taking in and handing out prescriptions
Dispensing prescriptions accurately on a daily basis
Using pharmacy computer systems to generate labels, stock lists, and re-order stock
Receiving, unpacking, and checking deliveries from suppliers
Delivering repeat prescription requests (within walking distance) to medical centres and collecting prescriptions
Selling over-the-counter medicines and advising patients appropriately
Answering customer queries face-to-face and over the phone
Pre-packing, assembling, and labelling medicines
Preparing medicines under the supervision of the pharmacist
Referring any problems or queries to the pharmacist when necessary
Cleaning the pharmacy and conducting stock date checks
Cashing up the till on a daily basis

Qualifications and Skills

Essential:

Qualified Pharmacy Dispenser
Minimum of 1 year community pharmacy experience
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work well within a team and independently

Desirable:

A desire to progress within the pharmaceutical industry

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £12.71-£13.00 per hour
