Full job description

We are a friendly, newly refurbished and modern GP practice with a growing patient list of over 11,500 patients. We are looking for an enthusiastic, kind, caring and compassionate individual to join our Reception and Administration Team.

Salary: £12.85 per hour (dependent upon experience)

Hours: A minimum of 25.75 hours per week is required. The successful candidate must be able to cover the following shifts:

Monday: 07:45 – 13:30
Tuesday: 13:30 – 18:30
Wednesday: 13:30 – 18:30
Thursday: 13:30 – 18:30
Friday: 13:30 – 18:30

These core hours are essential and must be covered. Additional hours may be available, up to a maximum of 37.5 hours per week, for the right candidate. Applications for either the minimum 25.75 hours, full-time hours, or a job share arrangement will be considered.

The successful candidate will have previous customer service experience and be a self-motivated team player who enjoys working in a busy environment.

Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, outstanding interpersonal skills and strong communication skills are essential for this role, together with the ability to learn new systems and adapt to new technologies.

Good IT skills and computer literacy are essential. Experience of using SystmOne would be advantageous but is not essential, as full training will be provided.

The ideal candidate will enjoy helping people, solving problems and delivering excellent patient care and customer service. They will be professional, approachable and committed to providing a positive experience for patients and colleagues alike.

You will work as part of a supportive and multi-skilled Reception and Administration Team within our busy and friendly practice. The successful candidate must be able to work effectively under pressure, manage competing priorities and meet deadlines. Flexibility is required to provide cover for colleagues during periods of annual leave and other absences.

Pay: £12.85 per hour
