Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Door & Window Manufacturer & Bench Joiner – Cabinet Maker to join our manufacturing team. This role involves the fabrication and assembly of high-quality doors, windows, and bespoke cabinetry. The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong craftsmanship skills, and experience working with various tools and materials. Responsibilities
- Fabricate doors, windows, and custom cabinetry according to specifications and technical drawings
- Assemble components using hand tools, power tools, and joinery techniques to ensure precise fitting and finish
- Operate a variety of machinery including saws, drills, sanders, and other woodworking equipment
- Conduct quality checks throughout the manufacturing process to maintain high standards
- Assist with the installation of finished products on-site when required
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace to promote safety and efficiency
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and project specifications
Skills
- Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, and joinery within a carpentry or woodworking environment
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as chisels, hammers, screwdrivers, and measuring devices
- Competence with power tools including saws, drills, sanders, and routers
- Strong understanding of carpentry principles and construction techniques
- Ability to work with various materials including timber, MDF, plywood, and other composites
- Knowledge of roofing, plumbing, masonry or electrical systems is advantageous but not essential
- Physical ability for heavy lifting and manual handling of materials throughout the workday
- Attention to detail with a focus on craftsmanship and quality control
- Good organisational skills with the ability to follow technical drawings accurately
