About Thriving Minds Tuition
Thriving Minds Tuition provides personalised, supportive and confidence-building tuition for children, young people and adult learners. We work with students across primary, secondary, GCSE, Functional Skills and SEND support, offering both online and face-to-face tuition where available.
Our aim is not simply to help students complete work or improve grades. We want every learner to feel understood, encouraged and more confident in themselves. Many of our students come to us because they feel anxious, overwhelmed, behind, misunderstood, or unsure of what they are capable of. We are looking for tutors who can build positive relationships, adapt their teaching, and help students experience success in a way that feels manageable and meaningful.
We are now looking to expand our team and recruit tutors who share our values.
Roles Available
We are currently interested in hearing from:
Primary Tutors
For students in EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, supporting areas such as phonics, reading, writing, spelling, grammar, handwriting, maths, confidence, homework routines and general learning skills.
Secondary Tutors
For students in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, particularly in English, Maths and Science. This may include GCSE preparation, exam skills, revision support, confidence building, subject knowledge, homework support and catch-up learning.
Specialist Tutors
We are also interested in tutors with experience in SEND, dyslexia, dyscalculia, autism, ADHD, anxiety, Functional Skills, home education, alternative provision, or supporting students who have had a difficult experience of school.
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for tutors who are warm, reliable, reflective and student-centred. The right person does not need to teach in one fixed style. Instead, they need to be able to respond to the individual learner in front of them.
You may be a qualified teacher, experienced tutor, subject specialist, retired teacher, or someone with strong experience supporting children and young people in education.
The most important thing is that you understand how to make learning feel accessible, calm and achievable.
Our Company Values
At Thriving Minds Tuition, we believe that tutoring should be:
Relationship-led
Students learn best when they feel safe, respected and understood. We want tutors who take time to build trust and get to know each learner as an individual.
Confidence-building
Many students come to us feeling that they “can’t do it.” Our tutors help students experience small wins, develop resilience and begin to believe in themselves again.
Inclusive and adaptive
We work with a wide range of learners, including students with SEND, anxiety, dyslexia, dyscalculia, autism and ADHD. Tutors need to be flexible, patient and willing to adapt resources, explanations and expectations.
Calm and supportive
We do not believe in putting unnecessary pressure on students. We want tutors who can provide structure, encouragement and challenge in a calm, nurturing way.
Purposeful and professional
Sessions should be planned with care and delivered with clear intention. We want tutors who are reliable, organised and committed to helping students make meaningful progress.
Honest and reflective
We value tutors who can reflect on what is working, communicate clearly with families, and ask for support when needed. No tutor is expected to know everything, but we do expect openness, professionalism and a willingness to learn.
