Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Swimming Instructor to join our aquatic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and safe swimming lessons to individuals of all ages and skill levels. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your sports coaching and teaching skills in a dynamic environment, promoting water safety and confidence among participants. The Swimming Instructor will play a vital role in fostering a positive learning atmosphere while ensuring the safety and well-being of all swimmers.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver swimming lessons tailored to the needs of diverse age groups and skill levels
Demonstrate proper swimming techniques and water safety protocols effectively
Monitor participants during lessons, providing constructive feedback and encouragement
Ensure all equipment is maintained, clean, and safe for use at all times
Enforce safety rules and respond promptly to emergencies or incidents in the pool area
Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and assessments for each participant
Foster a positive, inclusive environment that encourages learning and enjoyment of swimming
Collaborate with colleagues to organise group sessions, special events, or aquatic programmes

Requirements

Proven experience in sports coaching or teaching, preferably within aquatic environments
Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate and instruct learners effectively
Lifeguard certification or willingness to obtain relevant water safety qualifications prior to commencement
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if required
A genuine passion for teaching swimming and promoting water safety principles
Organised, responsible, and able to maintain a professional approach at all times
