Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Driver/Warehouse Operative to join our team. This role involves delivering goods efficiently while supporting warehouse operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for safe driving, timely deliveries, and assisting with warehouse duties to ensure smooth logistics and stock management.
Duties
- Safely operate company vehicles, including delivery vehicles & forklift truck, to deliver goods to clients
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to meet schedules
- Load and unload stock, ensuring items are handled with care and stored appropriately
- Assist with inventory management, including stock organisation and stocktaking activities
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with the team regarding delivery status
- Ensure all vehicle maintenance checks are completed regularly and report any issues promptly
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times during driving and warehouse activities
Skills
- Proven delivery driver experience with a clean driving record
- Valid driver’s licence, ADR would be advantage
- Experience in warehouse operations, including heavy lifting and stock control
- Strong communication skills for liaising with team members and clients
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail in documentation and inventory management
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures related to driving and warehouse work
