Contracts Assistant – Norfolk Flooring Ltd

Norfolk Flooring Ltd is a fast-paced, growing, local company, and we are looking to expand our team with a motivated and like-minded Contracts Assistant.

Location: Office-based in King’s Lynn
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Working Hours: Monday to Friday

About the Role

This is a key position supporting the smooth delivery of our contracts. You will work closely with clients, contractors, and the management team to ensure projects are well-coordinated and run efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Liaising with main contractors and clients via email, telephone, and face-to-face
Pricing works and preparing estimates
Estimating materials and equipment requirements
Maintaining accurate records for larger projects
Supporting the smooth running of contracts
Assisting the Contract Manager and Directors

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

Self-motivated with excellent organisational and communication skills
Proactive, assertive, and able to take initiative
Methodical, with strong attention to detail
Confident in building and maintaining working relationships
Punctual and flexible to meet the needs of the business

Skills & Experience

Flooring or contract experience is essential
Excellent IT skills required, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Strong numeracy and literacy skills
Ability to work to deadlines with minimal supervision

Qualifications & Training

Opportunity to work towards an NVQ in Construction Management
