Full job description

Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Kids Sports Coaches to inspire and develop young athletes through engaging sports programmes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to foster a love of sport, promote teamwork, and encourage healthy lifestyles among children. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for teaching and sports coaching, with the ability to create a positive and motivating environment for young participants. Martial Arts experience is a huge plus.

Duties

Lead organised sports sessions tailored to children’s age groups and skill levels
Plan and deliver fun, educational, and inclusive sports activities that promote physical activity and teamwork
Provide clear instructions and demonstrations to ensure safety and understanding during activities
Monitor participants’ progress, offering encouragement and constructive feedback
Ensure all equipment is used safely and maintained in good condition
Foster a supportive environment that encourages confidence, sportsmanship, and enjoyment
Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding programme progress or concerns
Assist in organising special events or competitions as required

Requirements

Proven experience in sports coaching or teaching children’s activities
Strong knowledge of various sports and physical activities suitable for children
Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate young participants
Organised, reliable, and able to manage groups of children effectively
Passionate about promoting healthy lifestyles and active participation among children
Ability to work flexibly during scheduled programme hours, including weekends if necessary
Relevant qualifications in sports coaching or teaching are desirable but not essential; willingness to undertake training is expected

Pay: £15.00-£30.00 per hour
