Tilly’s Tutoring is expanding rapidly due to increasing demand for high-quality tuition, home education support, and specialist SEND provision. We are now recruiting passionate, reliable tutors to join our growing team.
This role would particularly suit:
- Qualified teachers considering leaving the classroom
- Tutors looking for stable, guaranteed weekly hours
- Maths, Science and English specialists at GCSE and A Level
- Tutors willing to step slightly outside their comfort zone to support different subjects, ages, and learning needs
- SEND professionals who want to make a meaningful impact with families
- Someone seeking long-term part-time work with opportunities to grow within the business
We now offer bespoke home education packages during the daytime, and demand for this provision is growing daily.
Role Overview
We are particularly looking for tutors in:
- Maths (up to GCSE and A Level)
- Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics)
- English (GCSE and A Level)
However, we welcome applications from tutors with wider subject specialisms and those happy to support across different age ranges where needed.
Key Details
- Strong likelihood of hours increasing rapidly
- Daytime work mainly supporting home educated students
- Evening work available (1:1 sessions online or face-to-face)
- Face-to-face work across North East Lincolnshire / Louth / Scunthorpe
- Online sessions available depending on student needs and your availability
- Flexible combination of daytime and evening hours
Tutor Responsibilities
You will deliver tailored, supportive tuition to students across a variety of ages and abilities.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering engaging 1:1 tuition sessions
- Teaching students up to GCSE level (A Level where appropriate)
- Planning sessions in line with student needs and exam requirements
- Building confidence and positive relationships with learners
- Providing brief progress updates to families
- Supporting students with organisation, exam confidence and study skills
- Supporting wider tutoring business tasks where appropriate (resources, administration, programme development)
Desirable:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching Maths, English or Science
- Experience teaching up to GCSE / A Level
- Confidence in report writing and professional documentation
